As you wish

         As you wish is an interesting book about a genie like character with named Jinn. Jinn is named after his race. Since the people of his race have no name, he received his name this way because his master Viola, didn't want to just call him, "Hey you". Just genies, Jinn’s have their own rules. It is said that their rules are to protect them. Jinn breaks all of the rules for viola because he loves her. He is punished for breaking the rules for viola. He is to travel to and back from earth and Caliban his home world. It’s a punishment because he will age when he is are on Earth unlike when they are on Caliban, he won’t age at all. He likes humans and does not want to harm us. He receives help from Viola’s friend Terrence who only cares for her happiness and does not want her to get hurt. Viola just wants to fit in instead of being invisible to others even though she is more popular than she thinks. She forgets Jinn when he leaves and forgets everything.

        I find this story very sweet and it’s nice that Viola has so many people that care for her. The nice thing that Jinn can see Viola any time that he wants since he is punished. Since Viola recovered her, memories back, it ended as such a happy conclusion. I find it so romantic. It’s one of the best romantic-comedy novels ever. It’s a good mix of social problems and fantasy as well. I would love it if there were a second book though.

Witch and Wizard

            Whitford and Wisteria Allgood, or as they are known as Whit and Wisty, have lost everything. Imagine that the government took away everything from you. Your books, games, movies, art and anything you took for granted gone. That is exactly what has happened to them. The government puts kids into prison and your family can be taken away from you at any time. They are fearful of kids because they are more creative, and are younger, they want to keep them from doing better than they can at ruling the country. There is a prophecy that says that they will do better than they can at ruling the country. They are trying to stop it.

             Whit and Wisty have been sentenced to be publicly executed for being a witch and a wizard. They are known by The One who is the One believes that they use their powers for evil purposes. The fact that Whit and Wisty are now fugitives for the sake of being them seems wrong. It’s injustice that they execute kids for being them. If they like something, they find it wrong that they do like those types of things. They fight with other escaped kids from the New Order’s prison.(The New Order is the name of the government.)

All american girl

       
         All American Girl is a novel about a girl named Samantha Madison. She saved the president of the United States. She was outside of a bakery called "Cookie Capitol" after leaving a music store called "Static". There was a person that was in the store who she kept calling "Mr. Uptown Girl". She noticed that he was holding a gun under his jacket. She jumped the person to stop him and broke his wrist in two different places.
          After saving, the president and the secret service came to check if she was not helping the assassin, she was quickly taken to the hospital. She was on shock because she was a hero when she was used to being the most unpopular person in her school.
           She was having a hard time grasping the fact that everyone knew her. Everyone was asking for autographs, her worst enemy invited her to a party, people were sending her gift baskets and reporters were following her everywhere. Everyone believes that Sam and the president’s son may love her.
           The experience Sam has is interesting because she is not used to the publicity. Her whole life changes. Her crush becomes mean to her, and her best friend changes because, now that Sam is popular, she wants to use her to fulfill her long dream of being in the “in crowd”. 

Ballad

               Ballad is the continuation of Lament. In this sequel to the story, Deirdre is not the main character but her best friend James. A Leanan Sidhe (a faerie breed) named Naula comes to take James’ soul. She does this because it is what her race does and since she is the last of her faerie breed, she finds that she has nothing left to live for. She is despised by regular faeries because she is closer to being human than a faerie.

               James and Deirdre are both students at a music school named Thornking-Ash. James discovers that the school keeps secrets from students a teacher named Sullivan. The secret they keep from the students is that they know of the faeries evil. Naula makes an offer to James after having him bring her to Thornking-Ash for no reason so that she can make her offer. Her offer is to make him the best bagpiper known to people. She makes the offer so that she can get close to him and eat his soul when they became close.  James then declines the offer because he does not want her help to get better. She wants to use his own skill. After declining her offer, she stays close to him so that James will change her mind at some point.

              Naula lives for eternity by burning every Halloween. She lives for sixteen years then burns again with no memory of her previous lives. James finds it hard to save Deirdre at the end because he wants to stay with Naula until she stops burning. However, the world is in jeopardy since the faeries are getting a new king. He does save Deirdre, but Naula starts a new life again, and James continues with his life.    

L change the world

    
  In L Change The World, L defeated Kira and now has both of the death notes. A shinigami (a ghost character) named Ryuk, originally had one of the death notes (a book that gives the power to get rid of whomever you want) watch over L until the day he dies. L defeated Kira by putting his name into the book. He has a year or so left to live and decides to solve as many mysteries as possible. Ryuk is a little surprised that he does not use the death note to its full potential. For a mortal to get the book, it needs to fall from the shinigami realm down to earth. When you pick it up, it belongs to that mortal.
       Inside of this book, the social action is power. Kira had too much power and started to think of himself as a king or god. He got crazy over all of the power he possessed from the notebook. L saw it as an evil thing to see and wanted to stop it. This continued for about a year. L's successors were there to help him solve the case. Mello and Near found Kira but failed to stop him. He used the power he had to show a different picture than what he had been doing.
        L now has to do everything he can to finish every case he can before going. He and the FBI agents that helped him now finish cleaning and making sure everything is finished up. 

Lament

             The one character in my book Lament out a voice seems to be every character except for a character named Deirdre, the main character. She has a struggle between love, friends and her family. Normally people think that faeries are kind creatures with wings and don't harm you or there own kind. Well in this situation, most of the faeries don't have wings, are evil and will harm anyone or their own kind to get what they want. Deirdre. Her family has always been the target of these faeries because they have special gifts and can see them.
               Luke a faerie was assigned to kill Deirdre but fell in love with her instead. Along the way, so did Deirdre. He warned her about them without giving to much away. Her grandmother she called "Granna" had also taken extra precautions to protect her from them as well. Granna gave her a ring made of iorn and Luke gave her a key he called his secret. Granna had seen the same story unfold to her own children (Dierdre's mom and aunt Delia) They had the same symptoms like powers, etc. They also have weird dreams that shows what happens to others in the past or shows the lives of faeries.
               The problem with who she is, is that the faeries want her to either work with them or be killed. Everyone she meets becomes a part of the problem. She has to survive after almost being killed by some sort of mutant cat creature and a faerie woman named Eleanor.
                No matter how this goes on the faeries will continue to play around with people as if they are toys.

Social Action inside my book #1

          The social action inside my book, “Death Note Another Note, The Los Angles BB Murder Cases”, is the fact that a killer named B (Beyond Birthday) is a serial killer who is trying to get the attention of L, the greatest detective of all time. He challenges him as a criminal because that is his role. L (who inside the story discuses himself as a man named Ryuzaki) and FBI agent Naomi Misora. Misora is currently on leave from work and L had asked her for help to catch B. L knows B from an orphanage called Wammy’s house. Wammy’s house brings together kids from all over the world. Only kids with great skill can know what L looks like. L does not show his face because he can become a target from anyone who wants him eliminated. These three kids are known as a challenger, a successor and a criminal. B is obviously the criminal.

           B does this so he can surpass L. B has special eyes that can see when a person is going to die so anyone he killed on those days of the murders, were going to die. Misora and L go to all of the murder scenes and play B’s game. They figure out what he does is like a game to him. The conflict between these two is beginning to involve other people around them. B had put up dolls, takes things away and sets things up just for the sole purpose of getting close to L. He sees that Misora is supposed to be L’s eyes, ears, and such. He faces him when Misora and L are trying to prevent the fourth murder.

          The funny thing is that L knew who the murderer was from the start. However, in the end, L was defeated by B. L had defeated him a few years later by finally catching him and put him into jail. The battle was fought and was a win-win situation. Misora had been just a pawn inside of their battle. She just returned to work after not being able to completely solve the mystery.

The reason behind the White Witch

        The reasons behind the White Witch's symbol with The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, is the author, C.S Lewis beliefs. She is supposed to be the devil, and Aslan is supposed to be Jesus within the story. The White Witch is supposed to bring ruin to Narnia with what she is best at bringing. Ice and snow. She freezes everything and destroys or hurts every living thing when defy her rules and rebels.
         She seems to wear white even though it is known as the color of a hero or someone good while the villains will wear black or blue. The White Witch probably wears this specific color because she wants to match the color of the snow and ice and wants to blend in and not be spotted by any enemy that may take advantage of her while being vulnerable. She also might wear it to tell the residents of the country that she has won the upper hand and has crushed all heroes that could have stopped her and destroyed all hope that they could have had.   
           The White Witch seems that she wants to become a real queen at any cost because maybe something happened as a child and she was always ignored and was always alone so she thought that this could be an alternative so that people would pay attention to her. So, that final she would be in the spotlight and no one could take it away as long as she had the upper hand inside of her little game of hers.

The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe

        The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe is a book that teaches people the value of life and, how to respect their family and friends. Within the story, Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy each use their different abilities that they have to save Narnia and defeat the White Witch. At first Peter, Susan and Edmund each only think of themselves. They acted more childish than they should have been and argued almost all the time about who would be in charge of the each of them and ordered them around like parents.
          Soon after they discover Narnia, Edmund betrays Lucy and lies so that he would not seem very foolish around his elder brother and sister. Edmund does return soon after that time and betrays all three of his siblings by becoming a follower of the White Witch all for "Turkish Delight" which had been made out of dark magic. Even without knowing this they go out into the strange world, they traveled into from the wardrobe. They go out and notice strange happenings like talking beavers and trees watching them. 
           Once finding Edmund, they talk over the fact that they want him to come back to them and not to trust the witch. But they don't grasp the fact life is precious until they are told that they have to fight the White Witch in a battle to discover who will take control of Narnia. Just as Edmund was betrayed by the Witch and called a traitor and a liar, the Witch felt angry because she was slowly losing her control over Narnia.
            After soon realizing this, Peter, Lucy, Susan and Edmund take more caution to understand the situation, which has them thinking more about what they should not do to get themselves killed fighting or doing something else dangerous. This experience gets them to respect each other and realize how precious their lives are important.
