Cloaked

This is a one of a kind story combining a few different fairy tales, that including The Frog Prince, The Shoemaker and the Elves, The Six Swans, etc. The story takes place in Miami; it tells the story of a teenage boy named Johnny that works at a shoe repair shop at a hotel called the Posh South Beach hotel. One day, a visiting princess asks Johnny, to find her brother who was been turned into a frog and set loose in the “Florida Keys”. He takes the quest with the prize of marrying the princess. Before then, he is given 10,000$, a magic cloak that can take him anywhere  and an earpiece that lets him talk to “used-to-be’s” which are animals that used to be people.

 Johnny ends up talking to a fox, six swans and a rat.  The swans are the first “animals” he talks to so he can get information. The swans give him the information in exchange for Johnny to look for their sister in his journey. After, they send him to talk to a rat named Cornelius. Cornelius tells him about the fox named Todd. Todd does not believe that Johnny is worthy enough to find the prince. He gives him test of courage and makes sure he is worthy. Johnny has so much to worry about because he has a witch and her son hunting down the frog as well, fight animals of myth and do other things.

In short, Johnny has to go all around Florida with his best friend Meg hopping that they don’t dies in the process.

D. Gray-Man

          A few hundred years before the main story, an artifact known as "The Cube" was found by mankind. Inside were details, left behind by an ancient civilization, of a seven thousand year war against the a man named The Millennium Earl. The Cube told of how the Earl was stopped and how in the future,  special people would be able to fight against The Millennium Earl when he returns and tries to to destroy the world once again.
         The story really revolves around eight people and a bunch of exorcist. They are named Allen, Lenalee, Lavi, Kanda, Komui, Cross, Krory, and Miranda. They fight akuma to try to get closser to the Millennium Earl. Akuma are the souls of the dead that were brought back to the body of a person who wants them back. The akuma souls kill the soul that wants them back and either kill or eat inocent people and gain levels. They start from 1 and it goes 1.5, 2, 3 and 4. The danger of akuma is that they have special powers that kill in just a few seconds. There has never been a cure found.
          The powers of the akuma are: Poisonous Blood- The blood of Akuma, known as "Akuma Oil", is filled with dark matter, making it deadly to humans. Skin contact can cause the worst. It's a deadly virus that makes star pentacles appear on the skin, starting at the spot touched, before it spreads out, covers the body, and ends in the body breaking down. At its middle, it can result in fevers, illness and difficulty breathing. The effect of the virus is not as bad for parasite-type Exorcists, who can purify the virus within their body.
        There is also:

• Blood Bullet: The signature skill of Level 1 Akuma and an optional ability for Level 4. An akuma can change their blood into bullets and fire them at their targets, a good hit resulting in a quick spread of the Akuma blood virus through the targets system and a quick death if the situation is not fixed. (No cure though)
• Toxic Gas: When bodies of Akuma and those killed by the Akuma blood virus are left to fester, their blood sinks in and leaves a toxic gas in the air that can be fatal if inhaled too much. 

           When the Earl returned as "The Cube" said it would, a group known as the "New World Alliance" founded a place known as the Black Order and brought in many pieces of "Innocence" to equip them to new "Accommodators" as they call them. Innocence is the power used so that excorsist use to fight the Millennium Earl and accommodators are what the people are called. Only one accommedator can use one innocence or else they die if they force it . there are 109 pieces of innocence and forty one of 109 pieces of Innocence have been collected by the exorcist, though this does not count for the pieces that were destroyed when the Noah clan began killing exorcists. 
   The Black Order in all of its branches have several main goals that they wish to achieve, regardless of the personal missions of others:

• Collect Innocence.
• Find and train Accommodators.
• Locate the Heart. (The name of the object created after all of the pieces of innocence are collected)
• Defeat the Millennium Earl and the Noah Clan in the final confrontation. 

           The Noah Clan is a group of fourteen humans whom have the "Noah Gene" within their bodies activated. The Noah gene is when 14 humans gain the powers and memories of the original Noah's. However, they also get the hatred of the original Noah's as well they follow the Millennium Earl. They follow the will of the Noah blood within them and the Earl of Millennium.
          All humans on Earth are the descendants of Noah and his family, who survived the "Great Flood" and populated the Earth once more. At their best, the Noah Family will have fourteen members, including the Earl of Millennium . When one of the members dies, the same Noah will awaken in a new human, though they  have a new human name and a new human ideal of mind.
          Every member of the Noah Family is known as an "Apostle", and each Apostle has their own Noah name, though a few will choose to use their human name. Each Noah can decide if they want to remain in their human forms or in there Noah forms. When they are in their Noah forms, they are known by their dark gray-like skin, amber colored eyes, blue-like black hair (with the exception of Jasdevi, Wisely, and Allen(Names of Noah's)) and a black cross-like markings that go across their foreheads, called stigmata.

Dragon Eye

          In the series "Dragon Eye", about ten years ago (there world time), a terrible virus had spread around the world, and people and animals both were infected and had transformed into terrible monsters that eat and drink the blood of the uninfected people and animals of the world. These monsters were then  known as "Dracules" (like the famous vampire) and the virus that created them was known as the "D-virus". To make things worse, because the virus affects the carririer immediately, the cure has never been created, the only way to "save" the viruses victims is to kill that person or animal. Luckily, there are people who were born and can't be infectted with  the D-virus. They are known as  VIUS, the Dracule elimination force based in the city of Mikuni. They stake their lives to protect the people and animals from extinction.
          Each person in VIUS have to be put into a squad which will have them use the skill that they can manipulate the best to destroy the Dracules and stop the D-virus from getting into the hands of people that want to use the virus for wrong perpouses.
           The story line it's self mainly revolves around Squad Zero. The leader of Squad Zero, Issa seems to be very lazy. However, when he's within battle, he is very focused and dangerous.  He has amazing fighting skills that seem to look like a Dracule like way of fighting. Issa also happens to, possess a "Dragon Eye" in his forehead and is forced to wear spell slips that keeps his power under control, otherwise the power goes crazy. A dragon eye is an eye that gives the bearer of the eye powers stronger than any human. However, there is a consequence. The bearer of the eye does not live as long if he uses the eye to much.
            Issa is looking for his older sister, Ciara, who was taken captive by the Dracules who forced him to fight for them before he joined VIUS. During Issa's time with the Dracules, he was known as "Leda" which is the title given to particularly ferocious Dracules; it means "Ogre Child". Though Issa is a good and fun loving character, he appers to have the smallest squad out of all the others. Having only two official squad members and his personality makes him not liked by the people of VIUS very much.
          I love the story and the plot but some things don't make sense to me. If he was working with the Dracules for as long as he did, why didn't he just take down his enemy and take his sister? There are plenty of other questions but it would take to much time to explain. I just wish to finish the series soon.

The Wallflower (Freaky goth girl!!!)

         The Wallflower is mainly about a girl who was called ugly by the first and only person she confessed her love to. This incident makes a huge change in her life, and as a result Sunako ignores everything beautiful, both within herself and her life as well. Sunako's aunt, who is very concerned by her niece's change for the worst, Sunako's aunt, the owner of a beautiful mansion where four very handsome students boys live, offers the boys free rent in her mansion if they can turn Sunako into a "perfect lady".

          The four boys names are Ranmaru, Yuki, Takenaga, and Kyohei. They each have a different personality that they try using to their advantage like Ranmaru tries to use his charms and Takenaga uses his smarts, and Yuki uses his kindness so that he can try to get closer to her instead of practically strangers inside of the mansion. Kyohei could care less personally ( which I find completely lame) and only does something when he gets something out of it or when he needs to. The thing that I find sad is that they are all scared of Sunako whenever they enter her room, she gets angry or when she walks, you can see her dark aura. She sometimes changes the weather and can destroy light bulbs as she walks. (that's freaky. I would NOT want to be her friend. maybe...) 

          While the four of the boys manage to make Sunako look beautiful on the outside, they know that it's not enough to become a lady. The problem relies with her attitude and her interests (which Sunako has no want in changing). They've managed to make Sunako's aunt believe that her niece is lovely lady within the walls of the mansion where they live (and to stop the rent from getting any higher to triple the regular amount). However, in reality Sunako has not changed what so ever. Sunako has the tendency to have a random nose bleed when she see's by "bright creatures" as she calls people, especially around Kyohei.
        
          The series it's self was kind of strange but however it's funny to see the reaction of the guys when they first see Sunako. Sunako apparently dressed EXTREMELY bad where they screamed or when they see her cook, they think that she is planning on killing one of them when all she is doing is cooking. I like the series but I don't know if there are any other books out currently. I would like to finish the series.

Pandora Hearts

                 Pandora hearts has to be one of the most amazing sci-fi and fantasy stories I have ever read. It's about a boy named Oz and trying to find the lost memory of a girl named Alice, but shes known as Bea Rabbit. at first, you read that Oz is just a rich kid that is in his mansion with his servant Gilbert (considered as a friend to Oz) messing around before Oz and Gilbert's age ceremony. Then, out of no where, Gilbert was used by the organization Pandora, to get rid of Oz by putting him into the abyss, a world so twisted and crazy. it looks like an evil and destroyed toy box. If you get caught, can be killed by a chain. A chain are monsters that were born in the abyss. They have regular people have an agreement with them and they become an illegal contractor. Those illegal contractors have an specific amount of time to live and when that time is up, that person gets taken into the abyss to never return and dies.
                 Oz was taken into the abyss and came out alive by making a contract with Alice so that he wouldn't die. Oz was put there because the giant bell that hasn't rang in over a century and was never supposed to, rang as soon as he touched it. Pandora then came to him after a huge battle they had and told him," Your sin, is your very existence". After leaving the abyss, it turns out that ten years has passed since he was taken into the abyss and escaped. In that time, Gilbert has joined the Nightray noble family by adoption with his brother. He wanted to save Oz by joining the family. He joined Pandora and tried to save Oz for the ten years he was gone. When Oz comes back, he realizes things that he never dealt with before.
                I really love this series because i think that the story is funny and shocking at the same time. I find that Gilbert is my favorite character because he is funny, smart, determined and loyal. My second favorite character is Oz because he is funny and knows how to take care of idiots and people that he just doesn't like. I am at chapter fifteen within all of the chapters that were created. I am not at the main climax yet but I can't wait to read the rest of the chapters. I recommend the series to anyone that likes comedy, romance, action, and drama. I can almost guarantee that the person will like the series.

Arisa

          The series is about two girls named Sonoda Arisa and Uehara Tsubasa. They are twin sisters that were taken apart from each other by their parents divorce. The sisters promise to send letters to each other so that they can keep in touch with each other. They finally meet again for the first time after three years of being separated. Tsubasa is excited, and proud, of her sweet, popular sister, where to her own school life she if often referred  as "The Demon Princess".Arisa wants them to try switching places for a day. After this, Tsubasa goes on about how she admires Arisa, to which Arisa responds, "You don't know their secret, and you don't know my secret!" (They meaning Arisa's class 2B) she then attempts suicide by jumping out of the window. She then has a coma and stays in a coma. Tsubasa then goes to her school and stands in as her sister to find out why she did to try and kill herself. With Tsubasa being at the school and in Arisa's class, she discovers that the class 2B sends wishes on their cellphones to a person call the "KING" each Friday. The "KING" only grants one wish weekly, which happens to mostly be a violent wish granted. Tsubasa tries to stop the KING and find out who he is to save Arisa, because she believes that he may be the reason Arisa tried suicide.
          Later on within the series, the KING does not take everyone's wishes anymore.T he KING  selected a select few of four people to take wishes from by giving them a password that gives access. Everyone within the class begins to go crazy about it and feels disappointment when they are not chosen. Before the passwords were ever given out, every person in the class got to send in a wish. If the KING thought that someone was a traitor, then the KING would send out a "traitor letter". If that person got a traitor letter, then they would be shunned and be treated like garbage. The passwords came randomly one day.
          I find the series to be a funny but mainly a very mysterious series that keeps me in suspense. It's so good and I want to find the rest of the series. The fact that the whole series takes place mainly in a school is what I find pretty interesting. Every enemy, friend, attack and etc. all takes place in one building with the exception of field trips. The only bad thing that I dislike in the series is that, I'll make a prediction of who the enemy is and it would be wrong.
          i thought I would talk about the characters a little bit and explain their personalites a bit. Tell you about how they are and I'll let you decidewho could possibly be the enemy.
          Akira Manabe -A mysterious boy in Arisa's class. Manabe is the only boy who doesn't get along with his classmates. He later discovers that Tsubasa has been pretending to be Arisa to find out why she attempted to commit suicide and assists her in finding out who the new KING is. His password is 8001, and gave his account to Tsubasa so she could help figure out who the new KING is. It sorta seems that he has feelings for Arisa.
           Takeru -Tsubasa's best friend who helps her out as she tries to figure out the mystery behind her sister's attempted suicide and the sinister things going on at the school like who the new KING is.
Mariko Takagi-Arisa's best friend. Mariko is normally cheerful and easy going, she also has a sever evil and dark side. Mariko has never been noticed by others until Arisa had become her friend and had done as KING told her to in order to get her "old" Arisa back. Since she does not know about Arisa's condition. She eventually transfers schools because she believes she is a nuisance to the class but Tsubasa tells her before she leaves "that she will always remember her as a special friend", believing this is what the real Arisa will say. Her password is 2571.
          Midori Yamashita -Arisa's boyfriend. His is very kind and gentle to Arisa. However, he doesn't know that "Arisa" is in fact Tsubasa in disguise. His password is 4632. It appears he's the KING that replaced Arisa, within one of the chapters.
Kudou Rei -A transfer student that no one knows anything about. In short, he's a mystery. His mom is from Portugal and he transferred to the school due to his father's job. He likes to stay up on top on the roof because it's "closer to heaven". His password is 7426.
          Shizuka Mochidzuki   -A mysterious girl who comes later in the story. She and Manabe are childhood friends, and she has been currently getting help from Manabe to take care of her wishes. Her wish is to get revenge on Arisa. She was the KING's first victim. Due to a failed suicide attempt as a result of a 'traitor letter,' she lost the ability to move her legs. Her password is 3903.

The Meloncholy of Haruhi Suzumiya

              Haruhi Suzumiya is supposed to be the center of the world. When she's sad, angry,or any emotion in this category, the world could end, when she's happy the world is safe. Haruhi has attracted a time traveler, an alien and an esper.  Haruhi has always believed in life not of earth or of earth but with a strange power. She always wanted to befriend one so the they can take her away from earth, the world she finds "boring".
              She has befriended these type of people by the names of Koizumi, Nagato and Mikaru with out knowing because these people have not told her that they are aliens, time travelers and espers. They study Haruhi or as Koizumi calls her, "Miss Suzumiya" to see why she has the power to destroy a universe and her own world with her emotions and actions alone. Kyon is the only regular human being without a special reason to be around her but they all belive that it was because Haruhi wished it so. She wanted a person that she could trust to help her win in challenges and keep her happy. Kyon has helped her many times for some of the weirdest situations that most people cannot really explain.
                Haruhi seems crazy (which she sorta is in my opinion) because on the first day of school when they had to introduce themselves, she said herself, "I have no interest in normal people and if you are a time traveler, esper or alien then come see me." She attacks people if she hears the word challenge and is always confident. She does things that any sane person would never try or do.
                I think that Haruhi is really fun and a little like me in some sorts of ways. She just seems like so much fun to be around. If I had a friend like Haruhi, I think that life would be so much fun and life would never be boring again. I personally think that she could be a bit more sane but that's the charm that Haruhi has that keeps people around her.
